Definition –

 

n. a strong desire or feeling that you want to have.

v.t. if something is not true but you still like it to be true and it is impossible to be true, it is a wish.

v.t. to express a strong desire or feeling to get something or someone.

v.t. order politely

 

 

E.g. –

  • We can eat as we wish now.
  • I wish I could speak English fluently.
  • It is my child’s wish to be a pilot.

 

In Hindi – n. कामना (kamana), तमन्ना (tamanna), अरमान (araman), मनोरथ (manorath), इच्छा (ichchha), मरज़ी (marajai), अभिलाषा (abhilaSha), शुभकामनाएं (shubhakamanaen).
